I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. We don't have many avian-oriented vets on the site. There's a paucity of information concerning fipronil (Frontline) in pet birds. In studies I could find, fipronil was found to be highly toxic to some birds, but practically non-toxic to ducks. Parakeets weren't included in these studies. If jack and Jill have remained unaffected there's no reason to believe that they will experience adverse effects at a later date. For more detailed information see the Fipronil Technical Fact Sheet ( or call the National Pesticide Information Center, Monday - Friday, between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM Pacific Time (11:00 AM to 3:00 PM Eastern Time) at 1-***-***-**** or navigate to NPIC provides objective, science-based answers to questions about pesticides.
