budgies: then I noticed that its feet where not pink

When you notice hard, corn-type nodules on your budgies' (parakeet's) feet and their discomfort, foot shifting, loss of balance; perhaps even bleeding from these growths, you are likely dealing with a condition called ‘Bumble Foot'.

Other possibilities of growths on the feet could be the result of a tumor (pretty common in budgies/parakeets), or something far simpler like a blood blister, fluid filled cysts or even a feather cyst depending on where the growth originates.

From your description I doubt it's feather cysts.

When dealing with Bumblefoot it can be a very serious, progressive condition, so don't delay treatment. This might include surgical removal of the growths and treatment with an antibiotic, topical and/or oral administration (Bumblefoot often has a bacterial secondary).

Sometimes the Scaly Face Mite will cause what looks like growths on the feet and legs (as well as on the face/beak). Watch carefully for any signs of problems on their faces or beaks. If it's these mites, it's vital to treat them quickly because they can become overwhelming and clog the respiratory system very fast. No, the pet store products, despite what they promise, are absolutely not going to work.

Vitamin A deficiencies which may occur when the bird is on a high fat (all seed) diet.

Other causes of sores, boils, crusting and a multitude of foot problems could be bacterial, fungal or parasite.

What we really don't want to see or have diagnosed is avian pox
