I am sorry for the kid's symptoms. I need some more information please.
- How long has the pain been there for?
- Any vomiting or diarrhea?
- Where exactly is the pain - if you divide the abdomen in to 9 quadrants - lower right or left or center?
- Any nausea or vomiting?
- Is there any blood in the stools?
- Is the kid running temperature?
- Is the kid having any rash or joint pains?
- Is there any personal or family history of irritable bowel syndrome?
- Is the kid having any constipation or diarrhea alternating?
- Are there any urinary symptoms - if so - Is it like - the kid has the urge to urinate, but, when goes to urinate - very little comes out and still has the urge to urinate?
- May I ask you what are the aggravating and relieving factor you have observed for this pain please?
Yes it could be due to the growth spurt.
