Customer Question

4 year old daughter felt tired on Saturday. On Sunday threw up 1x during late afternoon. Then 1x during middle of night. Then again Monday in early afternoon.Did only water crackers and toast rest of Monday and Tuesday. No issues to report.Started back to a limited regular diet with her today. Then this afternoon she vomited again.Makes 4x over 4 days. Each day she also said tummy hurts a little.Called local pediatrician who did not seem concerned. Not sure I am confident in that response. Is it possible for the stomach bug to act this way?

Greetings,
Thank you for your question.
I am Dr. Su S.
I will try my best to help you.

Exactly at which part of the abdomen does she feel the pain?

Is there any tenderness?

Is there any fever?

How are stool, urine?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
Liquid stool. Urination just fine. No fever. No tenderness. Not specific on pain in belly. My 2 year old just vomited so I assume it is done type of viral or bacterial issue

Thank you for the input.
I understand your concern.
Symptoms of vomiting, liquid stool, tummy pain can be stomach bug or viral infection.
Just give bland diet for a few more days.
Give her more fluid.
Usually viral infection gets cured within a week.
Bacterial infection may need antibiotic.
If the symptoms gets worse or do not improve, she needs to be checked by doctor in person.
I hope this information will be helpful.
If you have any query, please feel free to ask.
Wish her healthy life.
Regards.
