Ask Your Own Pediatrics Question
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
Normally he goes once a day. I have never noticed this before. He has complained some at bedtime of his stomach hurting. He is very active and never slows down
Pediatrician: Dr. Su S., Pediatrician replied 4 months ago

Thank you for the input.
I am very sorry for his symptoms.
I understand your anxiety.
Such stool can be due to dietary change.
Diet often have a great effect on stool culture & texture.
As he does not have much pain, or any other symp***** *****ke vomiting, you can wait & watch.
No need to worry now.
If the symptom continues, I would advise to get him examined by doctor.
Stool test, blood work, ultrasound can be taken.
I hope this information will be helpful.
If you have any query, please feel free to ask.
If you are happy with my answer please click on the Excellent/Good rating.
Wish him healthy life.
Regards.

If this would turn out to be serious, what would this be
Pediatrician: Dr. Su S., Pediatrician replied 4 months ago

In case it is serious there can be lack of bile.Bile secreted from the liver is stored in gall bladder to be released when food enters the gut or intestine. Bliliary or liver diseases can cause it. There can be malabsorption. However those will usually be associated with persistent abdominal pain, yellow color of eyes, urine, vomiting etc.
