Hello,

Myself Dr Josh- and I’m happy to help with your question today.

Well, having sore and red penis in children could be related with- Balanitis, It is a common condition affecting both boys and men.

This causes redness and soreness in penis.

Skin irritation is the most common cause of balanitis in boys. In some cases, no cause can be found.

Also, i would make clear that most cases can be easily managed with a combination of creams or ointments, good hygiene and avoiding substances that irritate the penis.

He would need prescription of- Corticosteroid, Antibiotic and Anti-fungal cream.

It would have effect within a week and can be stopped after around two weeks.

He should avoid potential irritants, such as soaps, bubble baths.

Please take him to doctor and get this issue managed.

Hope this helped
