left lower leg near shin, cant tell if it is in the muscle or bone. Has been going on for about a week. No other illnesses

Leg pain at this age can be the growing pain.
It is usually felt in the muscles of the legs, thigh, shin area.
Pain is more prominent in the evening or night or after more activities during day.
The pain usually goes away by the morning.
Massage to the part can be soothing.
Application of heat will help.
Icing can be done if she feels comfortable.
Ibuprofen or Tylenol can be continued.
It should be determined whether the is feeling pain in the joints or muscles,
There can be other causes of pain in the lower limbs.
Children can have arthritis too.
