Customer Question

Have 8 yr old girl, spiked fever on monday, motrin, went to school fine on Tuesday, spiked again, stayed home on Wednesday, motrin, fever gone, fell asleep by 7:30, went to school today, no fever or motrin. Got off bus @ 4:30, was asleep by 5:30. No fever or motrin. Could there by something underlining that I'm missing, grandma, been along time since?

Thank you for your question.
I am Dr. Su S. and I will try my best to help you.
I am sorry for her symptoms.

From your description it seems to be a viral fever.

In viral infection, there can be lethargy, dehydration.

So, she is tired, weak.

Enough rest and sleep are needed in viral infection.

Encourage her to take more fluid.

Viral infection usually lasts for 5-7 days.

If she develops unusual symptoms, then take her to doctor.

Otherwise, do not worry.

I hope this information will be helpful.
