My baby girl is 4 weeks old and I can't get her to sleep in

Customer Question

My baby girl is 4 weeks old and I can't get her to sleep in crib or even set her down without non stop crying. She only likes to be held. Just hard when I need to sleep, eat, use the restroom. I understand newborns need to be held but I can't set her down at all without her freaking out. She will be asleep on me and as soon as I go to lay her down she flips out and also doesn't do her baby swing either. I have a two year old child too and he wasn't like this I could at least get him to sleep in swing or put down so this is frustrating and new to me. Please help. Oh I do put her in swaddle blanket too at night time.

Thank you for your question.

I am Dr. Su S. and I will try my best to help you.

Try to put her at crib most of the time except feeding time.

First she will cry, then she can be adjusted.

Check whether her feeding is adequate.

Sometimes if the babies are hungry, they like to be on lap.

If you take her instantly while she is crying, she can be habituated.

Hope it will be adjusted soon.
