My daughter is 3.5 and has little red bumps on her private area and she says it hurts? She is potty trained but still wears a night diaper. Diaper rash? Heat rash?

Thank you for your question.
I am Dr. Su S. and I will try my best to help you.

Little red bumps can be due to a few causes.

There can be dermatitis.

They would help in dermatitis, diaper or heat rash.

You can apply lotrimin & hydrocortisone cream.

The other possibility can be folliculitis.

Avoid diaper at night if it is possible.

Neosporin cream can help in bacterial infection.

As the rashes are painful, you should take her to the pediatrician.

I hope this information will be helpful.
