doc4kids : ii am sorry she is having trouble. To answer your question directly. vomiting is a very common symptom, occurring quite frequently.
doc4kids : That said, it occurs with many disease processes and it is prudent to consider other symptoms and duration of illness.
JACUSTOMER-79yknxfv- : She seems fine after she throws up, so I'm not sure if she ate something bad?
doc4kids : The fact that she has diarrhea during the same illness makes a stomach bug most likely
doc4kids : Food poisoning is reasonably uncommon but often blamed
JACUSTOMER-79yknxfv- : She just started preschool last week, so I thought maybe she just picked up some bug
doc4kids : and when it does occur it usually happens a few days after the ingestion and is therefore very difficult to trace back

doc4kids : Usually suspected when a bunch of people get sick at the same time. With stomach bugs many people may be affected but usually in succession as one person passes it to another

JACUSTOMER-79yknxfv- : As an exact count she has thrown up two times and then fine, and that has happened twice
doc4kids : While hydration is the most important and a potential problem if shes got it coming out both ends, as soon as the vomiting, she should resume as much of a normal diet as possible. This'll help the diarrhea resolve

doc4kids : that is true for sure. Be sure to wash hands and TRY to avoid kissing her on the face for a bit. You can resume normal mommy kissing behavior when the illness subsides
