Hello,

It depends on size of pill (strength) e.g. small, 5-10 mg ones can dissolve in under 15 minutes while 500 mg ones or more, will take at least 30-45 minutes. Enteric coated ones will not dissolve at all till they reach intestines.

Some time even when a stuck pill gets down to stomach, the area where it was stuck for short time remains sore for a day or two, and you wrongly feel that it is still stuck. Only Aspirin can cause much damage, not ibuprofen.

Thank you to the Physician who answered my question today. The answer was far more informative than what I got from the Physicians I saw in person for my problem.

You have been more help than you know. I seriously don't know what my sisters situation would be today if you had not gone above and beyond just answering my questions.
