Hello Dr Saha ,

He's been sick for atleast 2 days. He has 5-6 watery stools a day, which causes him to have diaper rashes. For the past 2 nights, he would vomit atleast 3 times a night.
He's urine seems to be fine. He gets plenty to drink. No test or treatment what so ever. The nurses here just tell me to give him clear fluids & flat ginger ale.
No, he just started getting sick. First I thought it was something he ate, but this sickness won't go away. My son is 2 and a half years old .
Thank you for the information,

Diarrhea & vomiting are indicative of gastroenteritis.

There can be fever, aches also.

In most cases it is viral .

It usually clear up in 1-2 days.In some cases may be prolonged for 10 days also.

Keep adequate hydration by plenty of fluid & electrolyte solutions like pedialyte.

If it continues for more than 3 days , it is advisable to see doctor.

An stool test can be taken.

Rice , banana & toast can be helpful in diarrhea.

I hope this information will help.

Please ask if you need any clarification.

Best wishes.
