VerifiedIt sounds pretty normal what is going on with your Son. He attended happily for 2 weeks because it was new and exciting and then all of a sudden the realization hits him that he is without mommy. Crying and missing you is normal at this age and he will get through it with consistency within the program. Telling him the teachers are nice and school is fun is lovely of you, but it won't do much to help. Just remind him you love him and give him some skills to do when he misses you in school. "when you can't see mommy, I am in your hear." and tap your heart and then you say...so when you are at school and you miss mommy, touch your heart and know that I am right there. His behavior is all normal and if he sees your upset then he will feel upset. Go with smiles, not overdoing it or forcing him to see how great school is, but just with love and a sense of confidence. Short goodbyes at drop off as well. The teachers are well equipped to deal with this normal behavior.
