i have a stepdaugter she is 15 and for the last 2 years she has gone on about haing a baby she states she really wants one and gets really down about it and says when she has a boyfriend she feels it more like she wants one.. ive tryed everything she has an implant to stop any pregnacy which her mother had put in.. but doesnt matter what anybody says she still wants one.... is this normal and how can we stop this ??

Unfortunately, there is that fairly new teen show on MTV or VH1 called "Sixteen and Pregnant." It seemingly glorifies being pregnant because the teens get to go on tv and be a part of a reality show. There have been many articles lately describing how more female teens want to become pregnant now as a result of that television show.

To assist your daughter in not going down the pregnancy route, you may need to seek professional counseling for her so that she can hear the information from another source. You can first start with her having a discussion with her pediatrician and then ask for a referral for a counselor or a psychologist.
