Resolved Question:

I have an 11 year old boy who I constantly argue with. He doesn't seem to listen to me when I ask him to do things.

What are punishments that are effective for an 11 year old when he acts up?

You must limit activities or possession of things that he enjoys.

If he likes watching tv or playing video games, limit the access.

If he has a cell phone, take it away for a week or so.

If he is on a sports team, have him sit out a game or two.

If he enjoys spending time with friends, curtail his free time.

Make sure that he is aware of the consequences before he acts up.

Hope this helps. Have a great Holiday!!!!
