When my first child was an infant, I mistakenly dressed him too warmly in the colder months and he was often sweating as I thought babies needed to stay warm. It is true that you need to dress a baby appropriate for the weather just as you would dress yourself. In the colder months if they are in an infant carrier and being transported from one place to another, place a blanket over the carrier. You never want the baby in a drafty environment. If an adult is cold, the baby will be cold too. The same for hotter weather.
