My daughter (10 year old) wants to get together with her 11

Customer Question

My daughter (10 year old) wants to get together with her 11 year old cousin (my husband's neice) all the time. She spend all day at their house last Sat. Yesterday, the cousin was out with us all day. Last night she calls here again that if my daughter can go to car show with them tomorrow with the cousin's dad and their other cousins. I said NO. My daughter went off on my and compained to my husband about it. My husband became defensive too at me because it is about his family and his niece, otherwise he would say nothing. Anyways, i felt so hurt that both my daughter and my husband are against me.
Should I have said YES to my daughter? Should i let her to spend all her free time with this particular cousin or rather her friends too and my family too?
I don't know what to do? please help. I was so hurt last night and cried all night.

Could you tell me a little more about your daughter and her cousin? In what ways are they alike? In what ways are thy different? Do you have any other children? Is the cousin an only child?
