Hello and welcome to Just Answer!

In my opinion its important for a parent or a caretaker to have a certain set of values, because the children watch everything we do to learn how to act.The younger a child is the more they will watch what is going on around themselves.

If we are good and loving, educated and its important to also for children to see us be responsible for our actions so they will know that all actions have consequenses in life.

For each action there is a reaction, and the children learn that from us!

If we set good examples the children will learn its good to be honest in all our dealings with others.

If they see us drinking, smoking, doing things that are wrong, stealing and lying the children will grow to have a wrong set of values thinking its okay to deal with others in this way!

Life is important to all of us and if we teach the children wrong, they will have a harder time in life!
