For past month been having mid thoracic to lower thoracic

Customer Question

For past month been having mid thoracic to lower thoracic pain at night on right side. Also battling a l5-s1 herniated disc but that has been improving. The pain in thoracic area is minimal during day but wakes me up at night and is prevalent in early morning as well.Started going to chiropractor and he felt spine but did not say anything felt out of place or any lumps?Pulled muscle or something worse? No illness, loss of weight, fever, etc...

It sounds positional and I suspect spine of thoracic region...

I think chest xray / thoracic xrays / likely an MRI of thoracic region may be in order ...

I would consult orthopedic specialist next ...

I suspect spine ( degenerative disk disease ) more based on history of lower back issues

I'm not thinking pulmonary problem so much as being culprit

You need further evaluation I agree

I'm not thinking that it is ominous as some of your comments allude to...

I hope this is helpful for you

I will be happy to get back with you

Never more than max dosage and have been down for past 2 weeks to 2 Tylenol or ibuprofen at night, mainly this issue is why still taking.Could kidney be damaged?Father passed away recently from cancer do I am a little gun shy. Esophageal that spread to brain.

Hello again,

Pulmonary meaning related to lungs / pleura / intrathracic structures

No reason to think kidney damage (kidneys lower pain)

Understand you feeling gun shy with your father's history ...

Let me know If you have further questions

( I have to be offline a while but will be back this afternoon )

Best regards

If you had inflammation of lung / pleura then a fluid collection could shift with lying down ..pleural effusion

I think more likely that position affects thoracic spine in adverse way to cause you pain however...
