My recent X-ray shows fusion of pelvic with L5 vertebrae on

Customer Question

My recent X-ray shows fusion of pelvic with L5 vertebrae on right side. Since both are connected at L5 hip movement would generate movement in L5, causing stress and pre-load in this area. I had back problems with sciatica left leg, stiffness, soreness, weakness. After 8 months I have lower back stiffness on both sides above butt muscle and general weakness in area l4/l5.
My MRI shows disk bulging occurring at l3/l4 & l4/l5 where l4/l5 disks has contact with left nerve root. Is it possible this fusion abnormality has transferred stress and loads to my spine or will my body, muscles compensate for this irregularity? Should my doctors consider this for re-hab exercises and stretching. Also what hip movements should I avoid? What is solution to this fusion and bulging disks?

Hi, I am sorry the Orthopedic surgeon has not been online yet. He has a very busy practice and may be seeing patients or in surgery. I don't know when he will be online, but I did send him a message this morning and historically he does respond to the questions when he becomes available to come online. Do you want to continue waiting or would you prefer to cancel this question? Thank you Camille - Mod

Hi Camille, Its only 24 hours since question raised - your previous message mentioned an orthopedic surgeon you contacted. I noticed before that your service has several orthopedics available, so any specialist available can take the question. I have been with service for many years and cannot remember so much correspence and e-mails, phone calls and still no service? I would like an answer to my question in a reasonable time, I don't see any politics going on here as I did not finish uploading my data before doctor phil agreed with my comment. Do you prefer if I write a new question on this issue? thanks
