Current treatment: Chemotherapy to begin 9/3, every TWO weeks with the following drug combination: Flourouracil + Leucovorin Calcium + Oxaliplatin (six weeks only for radiopathy concerns) History to Current Diagnosis 7/19 Biopsy Taken By Gastro 7/29: Result from Dr. Marfatia that it is adenocarcinoma at the EG Junction. 7/31: Visit with Dr. Smita Sihag at Sloan Memorial 8/1: Sloan analysis of Slides from Dr. Marfatia biopsy: EG junction, 37cm; biopsy (CT19-01781, E, 7/19/19, 2 H&E): - Infiltrating adenocarcinoma, moderately to poorly differentiated with focal signet ring cell features. 7/31 Pet Scan, results reported: IMPRESSION: 1. Hypermetabolic distal esophagus/gastroesophageal junction mass extending into the cardia consistent with malignancy. 2. Hypermetabolic gastrohepatic nodal conglomerate, suspicious for metastatic disease. 3. Hypermetabolic left upper lobe pulmonary nodule, suspicious for metastatic disease. Right upper lobe subpleural opacity, probably inflammatory. 4. Hypermetabolic left adrenal soft tissue nodule. Possibly adrenal versus adjacent lymph node.Possible adrenal adenoma, adrenal metastasis or adjacent metastatic lymph node. Consider further evaluation with contrast-enhanced CT. 5. FDG avid left maxillary soft tissue focus, possibly acute sinusitis.
