do you drink alcohol? this can increase your GGT levels.

do you eat sushi frequently? this can increase your mercury

I drink alcohol yes . But I am not an alcoholic. Social drinker . And yes I eat sushi . Not everyday but once a week ???
Oncologist: Dr. David, Doctor (MD) replied 2 months ago

yes, once a week sushi can cause elevation of your mercury blood levels

drinking alcohol can cause rise of your GGTP levels.

you need to talk to your doctor about cutting down and stopping your drinking

and you may need to stop eating sushi

find out what your blood mercury level is. you may need blood echlation therapy to help bring down those levels.

I don’t drink alcohol
Oncologist: Dr. David, Doctor (MD) replied 2 months ago

I see

you should get blood testing to check for hepatitis.

hepatitis and autoimmune hepatitis can cause elevation of your bloods GGT levels

a liver biopsy may be needed to look for autoimmune hepatitits.

Customer reply replied 2 months ago

Oncologist: Dr. David, Doctor (MD) replied 2 months ago

Could it be cancer ?
Oncologist: Dr. David, Doctor (MD) replied 2 months ago

no, cancer would not be causing these blood tests levels at your age

and would be seen by an ultrasound scan of the liver.
