This is Dr. David

I am a cancer doctor.

chance for pancreatic cancer at your age of 47 is very low, less than 2% chance.

chance for a pancreatic head biopsy causing pancreatitis is small, less than 10% chance.

usually alcohol use or fatty meals can increase risks for pancreatitis.

autoimmune pancreatitis is rare but also a possibility.

good luck with the EUS and pancreatic biopsy.

you will do fine.
