Customer Question

My Cat scan results are as follows please advise if this is critical: moderate dilatation proximal mid small bowel loops w/transition to collapsed small bowel loops more distantly. No bowel wall thickening. Small air fluid levels noted. Colon relatively collapsed w/stool.

Hi and welcome.

Your cat scan shows that there can be small obstruction in your upper intestines which is causing dilatation of bowel proximal to obstruction but the good thing is there is no thickening or pathology within the intestinal wall. So nothing is that critical just follow up with your doctor so that it can be treated accordingly. If you can pass stool and air then nothing much to be worried about. What symptoms do you have?
