This is Dr. David

is the pain right upper or right lower abdomen?

right upper abdomen can be from inflammation of your gall bladder or distal stomach or duodenum which can cause pain.

right lower abdomen can be from constipation, colitis, diverticulosis or ovarian cysts and other causes.

you should get an ultrasound to check on your gall bladder to look for gall bladder inflammation and stones.

you should get a colonoscopy since you are age 50 to look on the inside of your colon to look for diverticulosis

if you have constipation, you might need more fiber in your diet.

let me know if you have questions.

do yo have any other questions?

your pain doesn't sound like cancer.

usually the CT scan sees cancer if it is causing pain.
