I have a hard lump that appears to be directly on my right

Customer Question

I have a hard lump that appears to be directly on my right clavicle close to the shoulder end. An xray was unremarkable and an ultrasound showed the following. What does it mean?
Corresponding to the reported palpable abnormality is a subtle focus of
heterogeneous echotexture measuring 1.0 x 1.8 x 0.5 cm. There is no increased
vascularity. There is no fluid component or calcification. The adjacent soft
tissues are normal.

This is Dr. David

most likely it is normal benign lymph node on the clavicle. or it could be a small lipoma fat mass or subaceous cyst.

it doesn't sound like cancer.

if it bothers you, you can ask a surgeon to cut it out.

but it sounds benign.

let me know if you have questions.
