My son has terminal kidney cancer that has matisized to the liver, lung, and lining of his stomach. He drains over two liters a day because of the ascites. He is in bed most of the day and on hospice but eating etc. we have been here to help out for over a month as we live out of state and we're hoping you could give us an idea of how long he could live like this

it is very hard to predict how long hospice patients will live for

he could live a few weeks or a few months.

kidney cancer sometimes can be very slow growing and hard to predict.

I know you want to be there for your son out of state.

the best thing is to try to arrange another time to visit in a few months when you can see him again.

and keep in touch with him by phone as often as you can
