Hello, this is Dr. David. I have read your question and I'm ready to help.
thalassemia minor means you are heterozygous for beta thalassemia gene and you are a carrier for the gene.
it is common for you to show mild anemia which is slight low of the hemoglobin level in the blood like if your hemoglobin level is 10.
I am not to worried about your spleen being slightly enlarged. most likely your spleen is stable and not growing.
I am glad you are seeing a hematologist.
ferritin can be high from having chronic illness like thalassemia minor.
I doubt you have true iron deficiency.
let me know if you have questions.
