Customer Question

hi there. I have a pretty large lump in one breast and a smaller one in the other. I was hoping they would go away once my period arrived (I am now on day 2) but they have not. They feel a bit tender (but this may be because I have been constantly checking). Can you offer any advice please? Many thanks

Hello, this is Dr. David. I have read your question and I'm ready to help.

it sounds like you need to stop checking your breast and stop pressing and causing this tenderness of your breast.

at your age, most likely these are normal lumps and bumps in your breast.

and not from breast cancer.

breast cancer is not tender in the breast

you should be getting mammograms and breast ultrasounds once a year in your breast

when was your last mammogram?
