What does this mean: There is no hilar or mediastinal
There is no hilar or mediastinal adenopathy.Lungs are clear and free from acute infiltrates. There is a 2 mm nodule in the upper lobe of the left lung (series 3, image 25) and a peripheral 2 mm nodule in the upper left lung (image 51). There is also a 2 mm peripheral nodule in the right upper lobe (image 59). More significantly there is a 9 mm nodule in the medial basilar segment of the left lower lobe (image 165). This nodule is associated with linear atelectasis and scar. Pleural surfaces are smooth without nodularity thickening or effusion. Axillary and supraclavicular lymph nodes are normal. The cephalic margins of the liver and spleen are unremarkableIMPRESSION: Multiple small peripheral upper lobe pulmonary nodules are likely insignificant.9 mm left lower lobe pulmonary nodule is suspicious.
