Can not get the Passenger side inner CV joint out of the Trans mission. Why?

Hello. The reason it's not coming out is most likely the spring clip is not compressing when your attempting to pull it off. It sometimes can take quite a bit of force to get it to pop off.. especially on a vehicle from 1989. If it would help you, I can send you the procedure to remove it in a PDF as an additional service to your email..

If you are unable to get enough force applied to it using a large pry bar, I have had success using my air hammer on quite a few occasions. The repair procedure calls for the use of a large slide hammer with a CV axle puller attachment.

Were you able to get that axle to pop out with a little more force? Or do you still need help?
