is the front axle or the transfer case stuck in 4HI ?is this a floor shifter 4WD or a push button 4WD ?

Don't know if it's hi or low it's vacuum controlled no switch in dash

will the floor shifter lever shift into 4HI by hand ? and back to 2WD ?is this the 4HI is lit up all the time even when the shifter is physically in 2WD ?

ok now i understandsorry for all the questions but i want to be sure to steer you in the right directionmay i ask why you need to disengage the the AWD ? what is the problem with it so i can tell you how to go about this

The pig bracket was broke I welded it in its place and front end still makes noise when you throtle it some noise when turning

ok so this has a cable at the front Diff ? an AWD should not it should be a full time front Diff with no shift cablethe ones with a shift cable to lock and unlock the front diff where only for selectable 4WD to lock the front axle with a vacuum switch that will pull the diaphragm under the battery to pull the cable for the front diff
