What operating system are you using?
I haven't heard back from you yet - please reply and let me know if you still need assistance with this.
Are you using a wired or wireless connection?
If wireless, can you try with a USB cord and let me know if it allows you to scan ok?
Ethernet is a different setup and requires configuration.
Can you move them closer together to use a USB cable?

Did you recently install any updates, e.g. Windows updates?
You may need to try reinstalling the latest Epson software for the scanner:
Windows 10 includes a built-in scan utility, which you can access from the printer context menu.
Click Start, type: devices and printer then hit Enter.
Right-click your scanner or printer, then click Start scan.
