Customer Question

I have had a brother MFC all-in-one printer for over two years. I noticed that it stops and gives me an error message sometimes when I use the document scanner and there are more then 4 pages to scan. I have to shut the printer off and restart it. Only then will it allow more then six pages to be scanned through the document feeder. Is this a defect in the unit? What can be done to fix this problem? Thanks

It may be that the feed mechanism is jamming, or the scan memory becomes full, or there is a fault with the scanner itself.

It depends on what the exact error message is.

Could you reply and let me know the exact error message when it happens again?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I will send it to you when I get it to do the same thing again.
