I am experiencing some bleeding and cramping and I just took a positive pregnancy test and it was positive.

Ok. That makes you 5weeks1day. Spotting and bleeding is very normal in an early pregnancy. Do you have an OB/GYN?

You have two options. Either continue to monitor your symptoms, if your bleeding is on/off with mild cramps on/off then that is nothing to worry about. If the bleeding gets heavier, or continuous or associated with painful cramps, then contact your OB to be seen right away. Alternatively, you can see your OB to get a pregnancy hormone level and check it 48 hours apart. If the pregnancy hormone is going up, that is reassuring of a normal pregnancy.

If you are worried, then contact your OB for an evaluation. Bleeding and cramping is normal in a normal pregnancy and it also happens in miscarriages. There is no way to know solely based on symptoms.

It is nothing to worry about. These symptoms are very normal in an early pregnancy. Please follow up with your OB.

I don't know how much blood loss you have during your period. Like I said, spotting, light bleeding and mild cramps are normal in an early pregnancy.
