Ask Your Own OB GYN Question

Dear customer

Thank you for being online.

No,there does not seem to be any chance of pregnancy here.

Morning-After Pill (Emergency Contraception) are used as birth control measure to prevent pregnancy. If it is taken within 24 hours of having unprotected sex, it prevents 95-98 % of pregnancies.

You had sex on may 4 and took plan b on the 5th & got your period 1-2 weeks later-so there is NO chance of pregnancy here.

After that you did not get your periods. This is normal.its normal to get irregularity in your periods after taking the morning after pill. This is a very common side effect of these pills. These pills contain hormones such as levonorgestrel. or ulipristal acetate. Both work in similar ways to stop progesterone or to simulate progesterone.

These hormonal pills usually alters the menstrual cycle.Period alterations is one of the commonest side effect of this drug.

So bot***** *****ne is that there is nothing to worry. Please wait & watch. It may take 2-3 cycles to get back to your normal menstrual periods on time.

Thank you

Please leave positive rating above the chat box so I can get credit for helping you today ,we only get after positive feedback.
