I tried eating alkaline foods for one week avoiding anything acidic but you think I should try it longer? Also I did a distilled water cleanse with salt to eliminate toxins from my body

Regular periods tend to go along with regular ovulation, and irregular periods usually mean that you don't ovulate very much (if at all). There are some reasons, such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), stress, or weight problems that may be the cause, but otherwise it's often just the way you are (probably genetic).

If it were PCOS, that is usually associated with being overweight and having extra body hair. In any case, not ovulating is usually easy to help using medication (Clomid), but there is otherwise no good method to resolve it.

If you won't consider meds, you could try a doctor who specializes in natural methods, diet , herbs, etc. I'm not confidant that will help much, but you could try.

If you're not successful, I would see a good OB/GYN doctor. As I said, you can take 1 pill daily for 5 days each month and that will usually induce ovulation one week later. Once you're ovulating regularly, it's just a matter of time until you get pregnant. Best wishes.

I do have unwanted hair on my chest and sometimes a few hairs that grow extra weirdly long on my chin or pubic area. I went and got a ultrasound from my doctor to make sure there are no ovarian tumors but she said everything looked fine. So this drug you are talking about What are the side effects ? Stress I have a lot of it at work literally looking for another job soon
OB GYN Doctor: Dr. Norm S., Board Certified OB/GYN replied 2 months ago

Most women have little or no side effects. Some women may get hot flashes, occasional headache.

Assuming you have had some times when you weren't stressed, and your periods were still irregular, the stress probably isn't causing the irregular periods.

Even if you had PCOS, Clomid generally works well. If you had PCOS and were overweight, sometimes losing weight will restore ovulation.
