I just received a...

I just received a CT Scan saying I have 4 cysts in my right ovary, uterine fundal fibroids, and a mild fluid in my endometrial cavity. I also have a history of ovarian cysts since I was a teenager that can't be related to my cycle because I've had cysts during pregnancy as well. During my cesarean, they found brown tissue as well as necrotic tissue in my uterus. All of these tests were done due to intermittent pelvic pain my entire life. What is going on? My ob/gyn hasn't offered any options other then ceasing ovulation completely but hasn't said why that would even help? What is the next course of action I should be taking? What are my options?

Doctor's Assistant: How long have you had the pain? What seems to make the pain better or worse?

Right now the pain has been bothering me for about 2 months. But it comes and goes. Throughout the months and years. It's just a very bad cramp.

Doctor's Assistant: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?

I tested positive for high risk HPV 1 year ago but with a normal pap.

I am sorry you are having these issues

we don't know why some women have ovarian cysts and uterine fibroids.

some women can have a condition called polycystic ovarian syndrome which can cause ovarian cysts and too much androgen hormone in their body.

some women benefit from ibuprofen to help cramps.

some women benefit from going on birth control pills which can help regulate hormones and help decrease pain.
