I have a question...

I have a question. My vaginal ultrasound reads they is a complex cyst on the right ovary- consistent with a hemorrhagic cyst. Are these serious?

Doctor's Assistant: Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?

I have had a cat and 2 vaginal ultrasounds. My family doctor referred me to a gynecologist who keeps rescheduling and I can’t get any answers. I take atenolol and Effexor . It also shows a fluid filled fallopian tube

Doctor's Assistant: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?

Grandmother died of breast cancer. Father had prostate cancer. I had a partial hysterectomy 11 yrs ago, I have pain on right side and just don’t feel good

Doctor's Assistant: How long have you had the pain? What seems to make the pain better or worse?

About a year. But is more often since October, pain with urination occasionally. Always pain with sex. To much activity does irritate it also

Ok

An hemorrhagic cyst / complex cyst means that it has blood. About 2-3% of them can be cancerous. It is a very low incidence. But since you have pain on the right side and pain during sex; it is better to get it removed.

The fluid in fallopian tube indicates chronic infection or inflammation. During the ovary cyst surgery, that part of the fallopian tube may also be removed, which too can cause pain / discomfort during sex.

Please feel free for your follow up questions.

I would be happy to assist you further, if you need any more information.

Thanks for using Just Answer.

How long can these last? Shouldn’t I be on a antibiotic?
Customer reply replied 1 month ago
far I haven’t seen the gynecologist, they originally just said follow up with another ultrasound

also what does multiple low level echoes with minimal separations mean

Many of the hemorrhagic cysts resolve on its own.

Low level echoes are due to hemorrhage.

Minimal septations are compartment in cyst (cyst means fluid filled structure which has some pouches).

It is privilege assisting you.

Was this information helpful to you? I would be glad to answer any further questions.

Ok this one
Customer reply replied 1 month ago
Second vg

This first ultrasound indicates pelvic inflammatory disease.

The second has hemorrhagic cyst with fluid in fallopian tube (which again point to infection).
