I just received my Pap smear results. In the diagnosis

Customer Question
I just received my...

I just received my Pap smear results. In the diagnosis section it says “NEGATIVE FOR INTRAEPITHELIAL LESION AND MALIGNANCY.- REACTIVE CELLULAR CHANGES AND/OR REPAIR ARE PRESENT.” What does this mean?

Doctor's Assistant: When was your last pap smear? Have you ever had an irregular pap?

Last week. Before that it was 3 years ago and it was normal. Yes, about 13 years ago I had a abnormal pap and I eventually had to get a LEEP.

Doctor's Assistant: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?

Last week, I also had an ultrasound due to spotting between periods. They found a uterine polyp. 1.7 cm. I also had a UTI 3 months ago, but it’s now resolved

Doctor's Assistant: Have you been keeping a personal medical record?

Not really. I had a physical in July and I kept my test results, but other than that no.
