Customer Question
ultrasound/bloodwork starting on day 11...
I did clomid day 3-7 of my cycle, then followed up with ultrasound/bloodwork starting on day 11 until I was ready to trigger shot with Orvidrel (which was day 13). My problem is the morning of my scheduled IUI, day 15, I starting taking 200 mg progesterone vaginally. I was not supposed to start it until the morning after my IUI. Does progesterone stop ovulation, and if it does would it be able to do so hours before ovulation is about to happen? I took the fist does of progesterone vaginally at 8 am and my IUI was at 11 am. I had two nice mature follicles, but worried I messed this all up. I have also ready progesterone only inhibits follicle grow. Confused and stressed I ruined ovulation to conceive thru IUI.

Progesterone will not stop ovulation that is already occurring but can disrupt the entire cycle. Let your Dr know
