Customer Question

hello. was diagnosed with vesticular papulae (spelling) in my vagina after goin to planned parenthood. never noticed them before and some are a nice size ... how can i be sure they didnt make a mistake and its not genital warts? they said its definately not herpes
JA: How long have you been dealing with the issue? In general, how has your health been lately?
Customer: i feel fine. kind of stressed but no pain. just noticed them today went to planned parenthood
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: condom broke with one gentleman during sex-- he said 2yrs ago he was told he was exposed to herpes butt showed me negative test results. i did notice wart like growth near his anus . asked him about it he said he hasnt had anal sex so i thought maybe hemmroids. but now i have this issue. pplanned parenthood says no test can be given for genital warts? should i go back to them tomorrow for a 2nd opinion?

This is Dr. David. I am reviewing your question now and will be with you momentarily.

the health care workers at planned parenthood are pretty well experienced.

they have seen a lot of genital warts.

you can get a skin biopsy to get more information

but most gyn doctors and nurses can tell the difference between genital warts and vesticular papulae

genital warts tend to be hard

vesticular papulae tend to be soft

let me know if you have questions.

ok. they are def. soft and dont look like cauliflower , flesh cloored. the nurse practicitioner laughed because I kept asking her if she was sure. I know i cant see inside my own body very well but is there a reason I wasn't told/hadnt noticed them before? Also, will they go away on there own? Google is the absolute worst when you think your health may be in jeopardy, lol.

they sound like vesticular papulae.

they are common and benign.

they are not dangerous and will eventually go away on their own.
