I am researching adenomyosis to see if there is a familial connection. My mother was told she had fibroids and my maternal grandmother was told same.
JA: When was your last pap smear? Have you ever had an irregular pap?
Customer: I was just told the doctor suspects adenomyosis

we still don't know for sure what causes it.

fibroids is very common and would not be a risk factor for having adenomyosis.

adenomyosis is defined as ‘the presence of endometrial tissue within the myometrium

endometriosis can also be called ‘endometriosis externa'
