Customer Question

I recently had a pap smear for the first time, and I am 23 years old. The nurse called me today stating that my results came back showing some gray lesions and that we will repeat the test again next year to monitor it. Does this mean pre cancer cells? I need clarification of these gray lesions please
JA: Are you keeping a personal medical record while dealing with this?
Customer: Yes I am
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: just taking Yasmin birth control pills to regulate my cycle

Thank you so much

No if it were pre cancerous cells then they would do immediate testing right away

They were probably cells that were not clear in the pap. So not good and not bad. Hence repeat in a year.

I think you are fine

is this helpful?

Does that have anything to do with my irregular cycles?
