Customer Question

My last hcg levels on may 2nd were 2940. But my hcg levels may 8th are 170,000 and they saw a heart beat saying I'm 6 weeks 1 day. But I'm worried that the levels went up too much?

This is Dr. David. I am reviewing your question now and will be with you momentarily.

You don't have to worry

A high hCG level could indicate a few different things, most of which are not concerning.

It might mean the calculation of your pregnancy date is incorrect and that you're further along than you previously thought.

It could also signal that you're having more than one child, such as twins or triplets.

If you are taking fertility drugs, your levels of hCG can continue to increase as well.

It could mean nothing at all, many women have a high hCG level and continue on with a normal pregnancy and have a single, healthy baby.

Let me know if you have questions.

April 26th-117. April 28th-448. April 30th-1202. May 2nd 2940. And today 170,000. It just seems like such a big jump originally they thought I was only 5 weeks. But when I got an ultra sound today the dr said 6 weeks 1 day. I'm just worried. I've been reading about molar pregnancies.

your doctors will continue to follow up and do ultrasounds.
