Customer Question

I started my period around 11 am on Friday then by 3 pm it was gone. My periods have always been very regular. Why might this have happened?
JA: Are you in any pain? How regular are your periods?
Customer: My periods are very regular every 27 days for 3 days. I had cramps on Friday and this morning. Now, I feel nauseated. I took a pregnancy test because my spouse and I are hoping for a baby but it was negative
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: Only medical issue has been low blood pressure

Hello and welcome. I'm Dr Chip

Shortened periods can be caused by stress, anemia, low thyroid conditions, and, depending on how old you are, premenopause.

That said, even with a negative pregnancy test at this point you might still be pregnant.

You need to see your doctor about this and I would run some blood tests including a betaHCG and I'd get a pelvic ultrasound.

Please let me know if you need any more information.
