I've noticed a sour milk/cheese body odor that I can't seem
I've noticed a sour milk/cheese body odor that I can't seem to get rid of even after a bath or shower. I've tried several home remedies like epsom salt, apple cider vingar, essential oils, witchhazel, but nothing seems to work. I've been to several doctors (endocrinologist, gastrointestinal, and OB/GYN), but they can't smell anything. I'm currently in college, but the reactions from my peers are horrid. People cover their nose, move seats away from me, and spray perfume. Also, my mom and sister can't smell it which has left me puzzled. I can sometimes smell the odor, but sometimes the odor cannot be associated to a certain smell. It's a strong odor that is difficult to distinguish what it smells like exactly. I'm a overly hygienic person. I bathe everyday, brush my teeth, and wear clean clothes. And also, I've started using pantyliners and cornstarch to diminish the odor which it does, but the reactions of my peers are still embarrassing with them covering their noses and whatnot. Everyday after school I smell the clothes that I take off and most of the time there is no smell. I make my mother and sister sniff me as well, but nothing. The smell is difficult to detect. I don't know if it's coming from my armpits or vagina. … read more

Preparing to meet with the OB-GYN on JustAnswer

Women and the people who love them have many questions that can quite literally keep them up at night:

  • What are the signs of early menopause?
  • What's a Pap smear, and why do I need one?
  • Can you die from cervical cancer?
  • Is bleeding in early pregnancy a problem?
  • What can I do about uterine fibroids?
  • Are there any home methods of ending a pregnancy?
  • What's the most reliable form of birth control?
  • Are hormone treatments safe for preventing hot flashes?

These are only a few of the thousands of health care questions women can have, and just as with an OB-GYN in-person visit, you can expect the doctor to ask you questions about your medical history, what you've already done to address the problem, any personal medical journaling you've done, medications you take and surgical procedures you've had.
