Since lowering from 100mg to 75mg of Zoloft I haven't

Customer Question

Since lowering from 100mg to 75mg of Zoloft I haven't started my period. I was due for my next around the 12th of this month and still haven't gotten it. Pregnancy test was negative. Just wondering if that was normal and if there is a hormonal aspect to SSRIs?

How regular have your periods been before this?

Do you use anything for birth control? Thank you.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
my periods have been regular before the dosage decrease on Sept. 11. Condoms are my only method of birth control currently. I was on Trinessa a few years ago but haven't been on any type of prescription birth control since 2014.

I don't believe there is any hormonal aspect to SSRI's.

Women miss periods at times for various reasons. Stress is a common one, but there are other things.

As long as your pregnancy test is negative, pregnancy is very unlikely.

I would give it some time and see if your period comes. Best wishes.
