A mosquito bite is not a problem unless it is infected.

How do I know if I got the Zika virus
Expert:  DrRussMD replied 11 months ago.

If you are not pregnant, or trying to get pregnant, it is not a problem.

If you are in a Zika area, then there is a concern.

Zika mosquitos basically bite during the day. They can bite at night, but are aggressive day biters.

The exact rate of infection is not known, but if you are not in a Zika area, infection is less likely.

If you are infected and not pregnant, it is not going to hurt you most likely, and will convey immunity.

A urine or blood test can be done to see if you are infected.

That you would need your doctor for.
